The mission of the Vermont Women’s Business Center is to provide the counseling, networking environment, business tools, and training to help women in the early stages of business creation reach a clear and progressive path towards profitability so they can thrive at the intersection of their passions and skills, and continue making a positive impact on their community and family (and the world!).
VWBC is available without regard to income and offers the following services:

During this time, our host agency, Capstone Community Action, will provide one-to-one business counseling in the central Vermont area. In other areas of the State, please contact your nearest Community Action Agency (BROC, CVOEO, NEKCA, SEVCA).
VWBC’s home office (and Capstone Community Action) is located in downtown Barre. Regular office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:00.
Directions: From North Main Street in downtown Barre (Routes 302 and 14), turn onto Granite Street (People’s United Bank on corner, Dunkin Donuts across Main St.), proceed a half block, cross the railroad tracks and take an immediate right (opposite the Restore) into the parking lot. Come in the front door and stop at the reception desk.
The Vermont Women’s Business Center is a project of Capstone Community Action. VWBC programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis.
